Charley Sandage, a retired educator, lives with his wife, Vicki, in Mountain View, Arkansas. It's an Ozark community that's as much a music town in proportion to population as Nashville, Austin, or Raleigh. He has been writing songs since he was fifteen, fronting a rockabilly band in his tiny south Arkansas hometown. Charley's songs tend to be portraits of people and places, and his writing style is deeply influenced by years of involvement in traditional Ozark/Appalachian music. He is currently working on an original musical based on an 1874 incident in Arkansas history. Charley's Website [charleysandage.com] is where you can find several of his CDs, some with original Americana-style songs, some Nashville-flavored co-writes, some strictly traditional and recorded with Mountain View friends, and some produced by his 20-year old "Arkansas Stories" project.
